Miniature Clock Tower

Miniature Clock Tower

Class assignment to design a laser-cut notch-assembled reliquary.

Modeled in Tinkercad. Wooden pieces laser-cut from 1/8” plywood, except the middle platform, which is two pieces of 1/4” plywood glued together and beveled on a disc sander. Roof is 3D printed.

Designed around a miniature clock kit so it can tell real time.

Back-facing clock face swivels on a peg + nut to uncover a hole, for discreet access to a hidden key, coin, etc.

Beveled platform is unglued from the clock box so that the batteries can be changed. Clock box is unglued from the lowest cube to act as another hidden compartment.

About 2.5 x 2.5 x 12 inches.
